Problem 2: We realized that the Heritage Centre was underutilized. It was only visited by selected visitors or Secondary 1 students. This would result in the unknown history of Hwa Chong.

Solution 2: With the advance in technology, we were able to digitalize the Heritage Centre and create a virtual tour depicting the Heritage Centre. This would appeal to a greater audience of the present and next generation, and hence more people would be exposed to Hwa Chong’s history.

Literature Review on Light: Light, on one hand, can be destructive and thus goes against the museum’s role in preserving our heritage. On the other hand, light is helpful as is it essential for vision. The result of exposure to excessive light intensities can be irreparable damage to museum artefacts, damage that is cumulative over the life of the objects and frequently irreversible.
